Senior Engine Specialist
Ellenton, Florida - E-Verify | Full Time Florida Operations & Show Support — Motor Sports - Fleet OperationsThe Sr. Engine Specialist is responsible for the assembly and disassembly of high-performance engines, the diagnosis of parts/engine failure, cleaning and inspecting parts for use; while maintaining a clean, organized, and categorized work area while assisting the Engine Performance management team as needed. Knowledge of dial bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools dyno operation as well as electronic fuel injection troubleshooting and support required.
Essential Functions
- Measure and follow close tolerances while assembling high-performance engines.
- Clean all inspecting parts while performing quality assurance inspections for use.
- Diagnosis of engine failure and component failure.
- Monitor inventory to notify of low stocking levels of parts needed.
- Prepare completed engines for dyno testing and operating the dyno to ensure quality levels of operation.
- Work within a team by communicating with engine assemblers and parts personnel in a team environment.
- Other duties related to the position as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
- Knowledge of GM V8 engine theory and operation is required.
- Engine tear-down and failure experience preferred.
- High-performance engine experience is required.
- Dynamometer operation and function required
- Holley EFI troubleshooting, and theory are required.
- Highly responsible and detail-oriented.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent and thorough documentation skills.
- Ability to handle physical workload; able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to kneel, squat, climb, and lift continuously throughout the workday.
